Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, offers meeting planners and goers a perfect balance of traditional event spaces along with leisure opportunities to enjoy during free time.
In recent years the city has become increasingly popular for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions. The International Congress and Convention Association released its annual 2022 Country and City Rankings after a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic. For its worldwide ranking of number of meetings per city, Prague ranked fifth, solidifying its place as a top player in the MICE industry. The city boasts dozens of traditional and unique meeting and event spaces.
Prague Congress Centre is the largest meeting and event space in the city. The diverse space accommodates meetings, conferences and events of varying sizes with a total attendee capacity of 9,300. The center offers state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment including full sound and light setup for performances. Choose from a range of catering services, from morning coffee to elegant banquet dinners. The center also features parking for 1,000 vehicles.

Many of Prague’s best luxury hotels also offer meeting and event space. NH Collection Prague Carlo IV boasts six flexible meeting spaces, with the largest hosting groups up to 293 guests. Originally constructed as a bank, the building is a short walk or drive to many of Prague’s most popular attractions. Four Seasons Hotel Prague sits along the Vltava River, steps away from iconic Charles Bridge. The property boasts a total of 7,599 square feet of event space. Conveniently located across from Prague Congress Centre, Corinthia Prague proves an ideal property at which to stay or host a meeting. With 539 guestrooms and suites and 24 meeting spaces, the property can accommodate a wide range of meetings and events.
For assistance with MICE planning, consider an event management company. Prague Events provides services including conference planning, event management, incentive travel, team building, group activities, entertainment, accommodations and transportation. Prague Eventery assists with accommodations, dining options, conference venues, transportation, tour options and entertainment.
Be sure to take time to wander through Prague, known as the City of a Hundred Spires. Explore the city’s Old Town neighborhood, UNESCO World Heritage sites, museums, castles, Gothic churches, charming boutiques and traditional cafés.

Impress meeting-goers with a meal at one of Prague’s Michelin-starred and -recognized restaurants. With one Michelin star, Field serves classic Czech cuisine with a modern spin. Also with one Michelin star, La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise features multicourse menus inspired by classic Czech dishes alongside an impressive wine list.
UNIQUE VENUES
Prague is home to beautiful Baroque buildings, Gothic architecture and traditional Czech offerings. Opt to host your event at one of these unique venues honoring the city’s past.
Part of the iconic Prague Castle complex, Lobkowicz Palace is the only privately owned building within the complex. Owned by the noble family House of Lobkowicz, the building houses Lobkowicz Collections and Museum. The palace hosts corporate events, private events and weddings, with a variety of intimate and grand spaces available. The outdoor Terrace offers stunning, panoramic views of Prague. The space is perfect for a cocktail hour and accommodates up to 70 guests. For a larger affair, opt for Imperial Hall. With its high ceilings, original frescos and grand chandeliers, the space is ideal for a gala dinner, cocktail reception, conference or concert. The various spaces accommodate meetings and events of 12–350 guests.
For an intimate team building event, book a glass-blowing session at Prague Glass Experience. Conveniently located in Old Town Prague, a group session includes a demonstration and training from one of the lead glass blowers, plus a tasting of Czech beer. After creating your masterpiece, the glass needs to cool and will be available to pick up the following day. In addition to the group classes, guests may visit the shop to purchase glass fabrications including vases, drink ware, decorative pieces and jewelry.
A visit to Prague isn’t complete without a sampling of Czech beer. Bring your group to Restaurant Červený Jelen and learn how to properly pour a beer from the tap at the restaurant’s Tapster Academy. Take a lesson with the on-site professional pourer and learn more about the beer tapping process. Available for up to 20 participants, the class includes the lesson, beer sampling, a graduate certificate, pin and 10 percent discount on merchandise.

May 27, 2025Plan a Legendary Gathering in Honolulu
Myths and origin stories form a powerful framework for the history of Hawai‘i. Marking the horizon behind Honolulu, the ancient volcanic formation of Lē‘ahi — technically a volcanic tuff cone more commonly known to the world as Diamond Head — provides a constant physical reminder of the tales that shaped the history of this location. While researching legends for my Hawai‘i-based Dark Paradise Mysteries series (Kensington Books), I learned the tale of the demigod Maui, who used his enchanted fishing hook to reach into the sea to heave the Hawaiian islands, including Diamond Head, above the surface of the water.
