Peach season isn’t over in South Carolina and, through September, visitors can enjoy the state’s sweet bounty. In Spartanburg, sip the best-selling Son of a Peach brew — a handcrafted wheat ale available on tap at RJ Rocker’s craft brewery. The brewery’s restaurant even uses pepper preserves infused with this unique beer in dishes featured on its beer-inspired menu. Try a Sweet Tea Float made with peach sherbet in coastal Beaufort, at the Scout Southern Market. The establishment’s soda bar also serves up treats including macaroons and pastries.

Peach milkshakes are all the rage in Myrtle Beach at Peaches Corner. Founded by the Peach family, the 81-year-old café also has fried green tomatoes and catfish sandwiches. At The Lake House restaurant in Summerton, diners feast upon Aunt Anne’s Tweaked Peach Cobbler, made on site daily, with a secret house recipe and served with a scoop of ice cream or a choice of sauces that include chocolate and caramel.

Roasted peaches are one of the treats offered on the menu of The Grocery in Charleston. Chef-owner Kevin Johnson crafts local, seasonal ingredients into yummy selections like these popular roasted peaches, which he serves accompanied by Tasso ham, Shishito peppers, goat cheese, basil and crunchy pecan granola.
