Deciding how to kill time between flights or before a long-haul flight has always been difficult at Zurich Airport. The hub of Swiss International Air Lines houses nine separate lounges for Swiss travelers. The newly opened Swiss First Class Lounge E, however, is a step above the rest with a few amenities not found in other lounges.

Upon entering the 8,000-square-foot lounge in Terminal E, a central island Champagne bar and wine cooling refrigerators on the far wall greet guests.

Guests who have more time before their next flight can request one of the two first-come, first-serve private bedrooms. The rooms are akin to hotel rooms with private bathrooms, a luxurious double bed and standard hotel amenities like sparkling or still water, chocolates by the bed, an eye mask and ear plugs.

After a nap, guests can explore the living room–style lounge area with plush leather sofas and televisions, or order an a-la-carte meal at the restaurant. On sunny days, the outdoor terrace provides a refreshing opportunity to breathe in the Swiss mountain air and watch planes take off.
