Beginning this month and continuing through spring, Virgin Atlantic Airways will initiate four Airbus A330-200 planes into its fleet with a series of enhancements to improve the passenger experience, especially for Upper Class passengers.

In total, the aircraft will welcome 287 passengers on board with 19 Upper Class seats, 46 economy extra-legroom seats and 222 economy seats. All will offer in-flight entertainment systems with more than 600 hours of music, movies, TV shows and games.

Passengers in Upper Class can choose from three new seating styles: the Love Suite, catering toward couples or traveling groups; the Freedom Solo Suite with direct-aisle access; and the Corner Solo Suite with enhanced privacy. These three sections enjoy full WiFi connectivity thanks to technology upgrades from Panasonic, plus a high-end coffee menu and a revamped amenity kit featuring a pair of Happy Socks.

Initial flights employing the A330-200 will fly from Manchester (MAN) in the United Kingdom to New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), San Francisco (SFO) and Barbados (BGI).
