Marriott International is expanding into the home rental market, with more than 2,000 properties in more than 100 markets.
The hotel giant recently announced Homes and Villas by Marriott International. The service will offer premium and luxury homes to travelers. The first batch will include the United States, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America.
“The launch of Homes & Villas by Marriott International reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation as consumer travel needs evolve,” said Stephanie Linnartz, global chief commercial officer, Marriott International. “What started out as a pilot a year ago is now a global offering, providing our guests with the space and amenities of a home backed by a trusted travel company, and the very best in loyalty benefits.”
The introduction of home rentals brings more than 40 new luxury destinations to Marriott’s portfolio, including Sorento, Italy, and Lake Tahoe, California.
Marriott International is launching its new program with organizations that already manage the highly curated properties. Guests of the properties are guaranteed certain amenities, like a professionally cleaned home, constant support from staff and high-speed WiFi.
Guests were able to begin booking properties through Marriott International at the beginning of May. Go online to see what the new service is offering.
