Marriott released an innovative program, allowing meeting planners to visualize their event before they book, from anywhere, using virtual reality.
The hotel group will use VPViewer, a new mobile technology solution by Zebra Design that will be incorporated into the company’s existing Virtual Planner concept. The VPViewer app will allow event organizers to view 360-degree 3D views of custom-designed room layouts without stepping foot on the property.
Users without a VR headset can view the 360-degree tours of the function rooms using Gyroscope, and there are also 2D floor plans available. The app also features contact forms where clients can submit requests to hotels.
The app is available in the App Store and on Google Play, and the VR solution will initially be available for select Marriott hotels in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
