Air India just announced a new codeshare partnership with Icelandair, as well as an expanded codeshare partnership with Air Mauritius, strengthening Air India’s presence as a global airline as part of its five-year transformation program.

Through its new partnership with Icelandair, travelers can enjoy increased connectivity between India and Iceland, offering travel options across 15 routes in India and Europe. Additionally, Air India customers will gain seamless access to Icelandair-operated flights to Reykjavik (KEF) and will add its AI designator code on Icelandair-operated flights between KEF and major European destinations.

Air India’s expanded codeshare partnership with Air Mauritius gives travelers improved connectivity across the Indian Subcontinent and African region, with both airlines placing their designator codes on 17 routes between India, Mauritius, Réunion, South Africa and Madagascar.
On top of these new and expanded codeshare partnerships, Air India also recently revealed four new interline partnerships to give travelers greater access to Europe and Central Asia. Adding 16 more destinations across six countries, Air India has partnered with Bulgaria Air, airBaltic, Cyprus Airways and Uzbekistan Airways. This news closely follows Air India’s partnership with Lufthansa Group and Virgin Australia.
