LOT Polish Airlines is planning an aggressive expansion, including more frequencies to North America, following the end of its restructuring plan.

During next year’s winter season, the flag carrier will grow its presence in the United States with additional frequencies to New York (JFK) and Chicago (ORD), as well as launch service to exciting new long-haul destinations, including Bangkok (BKK), Seoul (ICN) and Tokyo (NRT).

“Opening new long-haul destinations is a condition for our development, which is why we launch them as quickly as possible. Even now, connections operated by Dreamliner are the most profitable part of the business. LOT is the only airline that offers on a larger scale convenient, regular flights from Poland and New Europe to New York, Chicago, Toronto and Beijing. Four current connections will be supplemented with three more and we do not exclude the next two to be launched in autumn. This means that after opening five new destinations next year, LOT will more than double its network of long-haul connections compared to the present one,” said Sebastian Mikosz, CEO, LOT Polish Airlines.

In addition to new long-haul flights, LOT will begin flights to three new destinations in Europe, including Venice (VCE), Cluj-Napoca (CLJ) and Ljubljana (LJU), and return to routes that were suspended due to the restructuring plan.

LOT is able to operate the entire first phase of its network development using only existing aircraft.
