London City Airport recently opened its new business lounge on March 20. The lounge, housed in a new area of the airport’s Private Jet Center, is a five-minute drive from the main terminal.

Guests are offered a complimentary taxi shuttle to and from, with lounge access priced at $43 per person. The lounge, open to passengers of any airline, offers a buffet of cold dishes, snacks and alcoholic beverages at no additional cost. The business lounge, which can hold 30 passengers, features hand-made furniture, a flat-screen TV, charging stations and free WiFi.

“Our priority is our passengers and the team will always go the extra mile to ensure they have what they need to keep their airport experience memorable and stress-free,” said Chris Clayton, customer service manager, Jet Center.

Passengers need a boarding pass to gain access and are required to check any luggage before entering the lounge. A minimum of 30 minutes is required to allow passengers to return to the terminal via taxi transfer and pass through security.

The business lounge will join the existing first-class lounge where guests are provided with a bag drop service and security clearance before transfer to the aircraft steps. Access to the first-class lounge is $117 per person. The London City Airport saw 4.5 million passengers last year with more than half traveling for business.
