Salsa Dancing on St. Clair Street

Daily

Earlier in the month, Canada celebrated Latin culture with the largest festival of its kind, the 15th annual TD Salsa in Toronto Festival. Throughout the city, events featured Latino art and culture, dance, cuisine and music. Salsa parties and free dance classes occurred across Toronto, all leading up to the TD Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival Weekend, during which St. Clair Street in mid-town Toronto becomes a hub of Latin food, entertainment and dancing.

“Through The Ready Commitment, TD is proud to sponsor Salsa in Toronto to celebrate Canada’s largest Latin festival. Having supported this event since 2014, we recognize that cultural festivals have the power to unite us and teach us about one another. Salsa in Toronto offers shared experiences of music and dance that open doors to a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow,” commented Andrea Barrack, global head, sustainability and corporate citizenship, TD Bank Group.

“The Canadian Salsa Festivals Project (CSFP) not-for-profit organization is proud to celebrate 15 years of bringing to life the vibrant culture, arts, dance, music and cuisine enjoyed by the country’s 1.8 million Spanish speakers and all Canadians with a passion for the Latino lifestyle. We are dedicated to celebrating Canada’s rich diversity and the TD Salsa in Toronto Festival is a testament to our beautiful country’s rich multicultural traditions,” added Marana Bayon-on, executive director, CSFP.

Amansara Review

It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.

The Argosaronic Islands Are Calling

The Saronic or Argo Saronic Islands of Greece call travelers to explore its seven small islands and islets brimming with history, natural sites and more. In fact, trips from Athens ports to the islands take only between 10 minutes and two hours, depending on the island you choose, making them perfect for day or weekend trips. From Piraeus port, you can access Hydra, Spetses, Aegina and Poros directly. Come explore these stunning islands with us and find the inspiration to plan your next trip to these islands. Hydra Hydra town curves around a slope overlooking the Argosaronic Gulf like an amphitheater and is considered one of the most romantic destinations in Greece. Most unique to the island is its lack of vehicles. People on the island get around on mules and donkeys as well as water taxis, making for a peaceful and laid-back day. Hydra lies a two-hour ferry ride from Piraeus port in Athens.
