Iberia’s most advanced aircraft to date will debut in June.
The long-haul Airbus A350 uses 30 percent less fuel, is equipped with high-speed WiFi, an improved in-flight entertainment system, more space for luggage and an advanced air circulation system. Business-class touchscreens will also be larger, and seats will be wider with more space for personal items. Iberia will be the first airline to fly the improved version of the A350-900.
For its short- and medium-haul fleet, Iberia will receive new Airbus A320neos, equipped with quieter, more energy-efficient engines.
The new aircraft complement Iberia’s new services. This year, it will launch a non-stop flight from Madrid (MAD) to San Francisco (SFO) and to Managua (MGA). San Francisco flights will be seasonal, April 25–Sept. 28, with departures Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
