As part of an ongoing residency program at the famous Sunset Marquis, the luxury Hollywood hotel recently unveiled its second art installation by Elle, a well-known street artist.

Elle’s poolside mural complements her first project at the hotel, an indoor mural.

The artwork provides a strong message as well as a place for guests to take photos for social media, according to the Sunset Marquis.

“Throughout our hotel’s 55-year, storied history, Sunset Marquis has served as gathering place and source of inspiration [for] trailblazers in music, art, film, television, fashion and tech,” said Rod Gruendyke, general manager, Sunset Marquis.

Elle began working in street art after becoming enamored with its implications. She was entranced by the idea an artist, or group of artists, can collaborate to create art for public consumption.

“When people look at my art, I want them to think about their own lives, what they’re doing, and try to make a positive impact in some way,” said Elle. “The Sunset Marquis has provided me with the space to further my passion and has served as location that inspires me to create work that helps to spread awareness for such an important cause.”
