Hilton and Scandic Hotels Group, the largest hotel operator in the Nordics, just signed a multiyear agreement to bring Hilton’s brands to Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The agreement aims to elevate individual development opportunities for both brands across the Nordics and is not a broad conversion of Scandic’s portfolio.
Plans are already underway in Copenhagen, where Scandic signed a new Hilton Hotels & Resorts property at Scanport, located adjacent to Copenhagen Airport. This 284-room property, slated to open in 2029, will be operated by Scandic under a franchise agreement with Hilton and include a restaurant and bar, meeting and event facilities, wellness amenities, a fitness area, and executive lounge overlooking Öresund Bay.
The agreement also intends to renovate Hilton Helsinki Airport through a multiphase refurbishment program.
Additionally, the agreement also includes new benefits for members of the Hilton Honors and Scandic Friends loyalty programs at a later date, with plans to further open the Nordics to Hilton Honors members and the world to Scandic Friends.

Oct 28, 2026Review: Caribe Royale Orlando
It’s truly its own universe: Caribe Royale Orlando is a sprawling property beckoning you forward with its coral pink exterior spanning many towers and buildings. The two-level lobby alone feels more like a community than a hotel lobby, with a Starbucks; access to the signature restaurant (in the midst of renovations), sports bar and gift shop; and a plethora of seating options. The bilevel layout also makes the entire space seem larger, opening up to the massive pool awaiting just behind the back doors.
