Last year proved big for Doha, Qatar’s, Hamad International Airport, which served 52.7 million passengers at a 15 percent increase compared to the previous year.

As we commemorate our 10th anniversary, we are dedicated to the next chapter — enhancing infrastructure by adding more gates for passenger convenience before mid-2025, fortifying global partnerships, and contributing to Qatar’s economic growth.”

Additional 2024 milestones include aircraft movements rising to 279,000, a 10 percent year-over-year increase; 2.6 million tons of cargo handled, a 12 percent rise; and the management of 41.3 million bags, 10 percent higher than the previous year.

In 2024, local passenger grew by 16 percent, marking the first time it grew faster than transfer traffic. The airport’s global network reached 197 destinations and 55 total airlines last year.
