Yardley, Pa., April 22, 2013 – Global Traveler, the only monthly magazine for business and luxury travelers, is in the lead-up to its 10th anniversary in February 2014. To celebrate, the magazine is launching its 10-Year Hall of Fame awards. The 10th anniversary of the GT Tested Reader Survey awards, will be announced in the December 2013 issue. The Hall of Fame will honor those winners who have won a GT Tested Reader Survey award for 10 consecutive years.
The GT Tested Reader Survey awards run yearly January through August in the magazine and online. The open-ended survey questions allow our readers to vote for their favorites in the world of airlines, credit cards, hotels, travel brands and products. Global Traveler readers are more than qualified to vote for the best in the world of travel as they average more than 30 round-trip international and domestic flights per year, frequently flying first and business class and staying in 4- and 5-star hotels.
The companies this elite groups has favored consistently for the past nine years include Singapore Airlines (Best Airline in the World), Chicago O’Hare International Airport (Best Airport in North America), Asiana Airlines (Best Airline for Onboard Service and Best Airline for Flight Attendants), United MileagePlus (Best Frequent-Flyer Program), Best Hotel Chain in Latin America (Sheraton Hotels & Resorts), South African Airways (Best Airline in Africa) and the Membership Rewards Program by American Express (Best Credit Card Rewards Program).
The winners will be announced in the December 2013 issue. Will these perennial favorites will for the 10th consecutive year? The Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at a December event at The Peninsula Beverly Hills in California. The 5-star hotel will host the elite event for the third consecutive year.
