Finnair will start daily flights to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on March 29, 2020. The new flights are on sale now.
The airline said this will complement the daily flights already on the books to Tokyo’s other airport, Narita (NRT), “offering more options and flexibility to passengers.” The new Haneda flight will be a codeshare with Japan Airlines, allowing passengers to connect to other destinations in Japan.
The route will use an Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The schedule from Helsinki (HEL) to both airports is as follows:
Flight No. From To Departs Arrives Aircraft
AY61 Helsinki (HEL) Tokyo Haneda (HND) 0050 1715 A350-900
AY62 Tokyo Haneda (HND) Helsinki (HEL) 0135 0530
AY73 Helsinki (HEL) Tokyo Narita (NRT) 1730 1000 (+1)
AY74 Tokyo Narita (NRT) Helsinki (HEL) 1155 1510
“Finnair has operated over 35 years between Japan and Finland. With the new flights, we are happy to offer even better connections between Tokyo and over 100 destinations in Europe,” said Ole Orvér, chief commercial officer, Finnair. “We also have a strong commitment to Narita Airport and will continue flying from there as well.”

Although a destination’s terrain, cuisine and cultural attributes always draw travelers in, it is often the people they meet that make the trip an enduring memory rather than a box to be checked off. Apr 17, 2024Mindfulness City in Kingdom of Bhutan Unveiled as Future Economic Hub
In front of an audience of 30,000 Kingdom of Bhutan residents and officials, His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck presented his vision for a new economic hub in Bhutan. Located between India to the south and China to the north, Bhutan is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Bhutan came late to global tourism. It opened its borders to international visitors in 1974 and, while tourism definitely increased, residents are enduring “light” rush-hour traffic in Thimphu, its capital city, as the only Asian capital without traffic lights.
