Day 1

Start in Old Town. On the south wall of the Gothic Old Town Hall, you’ll find the famed astronomical clock. Be near here when the hour changes and you’ll see the clock come alive. Other spots to soak in include Týn Cathedral, the Church of St. Nicholas and more. Find a street-side café for a beer and a snack before heading to Charles Bridge. Take a one-hour Charles Bridge Tour for an in-depth look at the bridge’s construction. The Museum of the Charles Bridge is free. Dine at The Café Savoy for dinner, dating to 1893, or quench your thirst on a Prague beer tour.

Day 2

On day two, explore Prague’s historically important Jewish Quarter. Dating from the 13th century, there are six synagogues here collectively making up the Jewish Museum in Prague (except the Old-New Synagogue). From here, explore Lesser Town before spending your afternoon at Prague Castle. Near Prague Castle, wander the Golden Lane. Wrap up a busy day with Prague Boats dinner cruise on the Vltava River. If you can muster the energy, drinks and live music follow at JazzDock.

Day 3

Get out of the city on day three and book a daytrip excursion to Karlštejn Castle, about 18 miles from Prague. The castle’s rich history dates to 1348 and includes 14th-century wall decorations, a portrait gallery and a set of 129 paintings created by Master Theodoric. It’s the perfect way to wrap up your last day in Czech Republic.
