Taiwan-based airline EVA Air is releasing new meals, sleepwear and amenity kits this year.
The new items are a product of a collaboration with luxury brands Rimowa, Salvatore Ferragamo, renowned chef Huang Ching-biao and fashion designer Jason Wu.
Several classes will have new menus in 2019, including Royal Laurel class passengers on flights from Taipei (TPE) to Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK) and San Francisco (SFO). Chef Ching-biao developed a menu of a pork shoulder, cucumber and Thai-style shrimp appetizer; a golden chicken and seafood soup; and braised abalone in oyster sauce with fried rice and caramel olive.
Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel class passengers flying from Taipei to Brisbane (BNE), Paris (CDG) and Vienna (VIE) will also have a new seasonal dessert menu in partnership with Italian pastry chef Andrea Bonaffini.
Passengers will be served mixed fruit juice after departing the airplane, including Taiwanese Irwin mangoes, passion fruit, orange and carrot.
New sleepwear items from Taiwanese-Canadian designer Jason Wu will be available to Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel passengers. New amenity kits from luggage brand Rimowa and fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo are planned for Royal Laurel and Premium Laurel passengers on long-haul overnight flights this year.
