As of February, passengers in Emirates’ economy class face new limits on baggage allowances.
Since Feb. 4, travelers with special fare or saver fare tickets can check luggage that weighs no more than 33 pounds (15 kilograms) and 55 pounds (25 kilograms), respectively. These new weight allowances are approximately 11 pounds (5 kilograms) less than previous limits.
While checked luggage limits changed, carry-on allowances remain the same: Economy passengers can carry on a bag that weighs up to 15 pounds (7 kilograms) and measures no more than 22 inches by 15 inches by 8 inches.
These new luggage regulations apply to all flights except those traveling to and from the Americas and flights that originate in Africa. The restrictions do not apply to passengers with seats in business or first class. To confirm which allowances apply, check with the airline in advance.
