New this winter season, Table Mountain Inn, in the historic town of Golden, Colorado, invites visitors to attend its monthly Spirits Club. This ticketed tasting series takes place on the last Thursday of each month in the inn’s Kokopelli indoor/outdoor area, where hotel guests and locals mingle while enjoying craft spirits in a relaxed setting.

“We are creating a Spirits Club that will gather the last Thursday of every month to allow locals and guests alike to explore and try different spirits and distillers, allowing us to help educate and introduce folks to spirits they might never have heard about, or a new distillery,” said Jason Burke, general manager, Table Mountain Grill & Cantina. “We will host these events in our lovely Kokopelli event space that has its own private patio courtyard. We look forward to the warm weather and beautiful evenings sharing our knowledge with everyone!”
This month’s Spirits Club will be held Feb. 26, 5–8 p.m. Stranahan’s Whiskey will be served in a tasting flight and two handcrafted cocktails feature this spirit. As an accompaniment, Table Mountain Inn’s chefs will prepare paired appetizers for the evening’s event.
Set in the heart of Golden and easily walkable to downtown, Table Mountain Inn offers a Southwestern vibe, from the adobe exterior to the menu at on-site Grill & Cantina. Nearby activities include rounds at Fossil Trace Golf Club and Applewood Golf Course, tours of the Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, biking, fly-fishing, whitewater rafting, and kayaking.

Time your visit for the weekend of Feb. 20–22, and you can enjoy both the cozy inn and the Colorado Environmental Film Festival, with screenings in the Green Center at Colorado School of Mines. This year’s schedule includes Citizen Ruth: Environmental Warrior (with Ruth Wright); Bee Wild (with Ellie Goulding and Angelina Jolie); and Guardians of the Earth, set in Kenya and following the indigenous protectors who fight to preserve Africa’s wildlife and wilderness.
