London’s Claridge’s brings café culture to its guests for the first time with the opening of ArtSpace Café, complete with its own dedicated entrance on Brook’s Mews in Mayfair. The café, open daily, offers breakfast and lunch, with a menu featuring crepes, tortillas, toasties, croque monsieur and madam, mega Madelines and Claridge’s renowned cakes.
Designed by John Pawson, ArtSpace Café features a patisserie counter, marble communal table as a central spot and an entry down to Claridge’s ArtSpace. Claridge’s ArtSpace is a vast gallery with rotating exhibitions, free for all to visit. Guests at ArtSpace Café can either enjoy their meal within the café or take it to go, even the Champagne.

Sweet and savory dishes, especially crepes, are one of the menu’s highlights. Choose a lemon and sugar crepe or, for those looking for something more indulgence, the Seafood Cocktail in crepe form. This features native lobster, white crab meat, lettuce and quail’s egg, all laced with Marie-Rose sauce and topped with caviar, and all enveloped in a crepe. Pastries, coconut chia pudding, homemade granola and more await.
For lunch, opt for roasted brie and wild mushroom on toast, or pick a classic croissant sandwich. ArtSpace Café serves artisan coffee by Origin Coffee, a Cornwall-born coffee company. In addition to lattes and other coffee drinks, the café also serves juices, smoothies and kombuchas.
Claridge’s new café follows close behind the opening of its first spa in October 2022.
