El Palace Barcelona hosts festive events and programming for the holiday season. Kicking off Nov. 27, there is something for everyone.
Festive Afternoon Tea
From Nov. 27 to Jan. 4, 2026, El Palace Barcelona hosts a festive version of its classic afternoon tea. Available 4–7 p.m. daily, tea includes sweet and savory treats and special programming. Children may write letters to Santa during select afternoon tea services in December. New Year’s Day afternoon tea will include a live opera performance. Additionally, live piano music will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Rooftop Christmas Cinema
Hosted on the hotel’s rooftop, the open-air cinema area boasts four private mini chalets complete with blankets and festive fare. Holiday films will be screened daily, Nov. 27–Jan 4, 2026, with showings at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Movies include The Polar Express, Home Alone, The Holiday and Bridget Jones’s Diary.
Gingerbread House
Available starting Nov. 27, the hotel’s rooftop garden transforms into a whimsical gingerbread house, offering festive dining as well as a gingerbread house-making workshop.
Zambomba de Jerez
On Dec. 15, El Palace Barcelona hosts one of southern Spain’s most vibrant holiday traditions. The event features live Andalusian carols and traditional regional dishes.

Grand Charity Concert
The fourth annual concert by Escolania de Montserrat choir takes place Dec. 16 at 8 p.m.
Festive Dining
El Palace Barcelona’s acclaimed Amar Barcelona signature restaurant offers elegant tasting menus on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Each meal highlights local cuisine with five appetizers, five main courses, two desserts and nougat.
