It’s nearly a given that the airport experience can be quite stressful and full of uncertainty. Passengers seek out ways to maximize their airport experience from check-in to take-off, often with little luck, especially when the growing popularity of airport lounges shows no signs of slowing.

Capital One recently announced new and innovative digital features in the Capital One mobile app to allow cardholders to view capacities of Capital One Lounges in real time. The new function also allows Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders the chance to virtually join the waitlist when a lounge is at capacity, all from the convenience of their phone before arriving to a Capital One Lounge.
Once signed into the Capital One mobile app, go to the homepage and select Travel (denoted by an airplane icon) within the Explore Rewards & Benefits tile. Once on the Travel page, select Lounges. Below the Search Bar, select the Capital One Lounge of which you wish to see real-time availability. You will then be able to see details about that Capital One lounge location.

If the Capital One Lounge you desire to access is on a waitlist, Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders can join digitally via the app by doing the following:
- From the Capital One Lounge location page in the app, select Join Waitlist
- Provide your name, phone number and party size. Slide the button to join the waitlist.
- You will automatically return to the Capital One Lounge location page where you can view your confirmation and anticipated wait time. The app will also text you this information
- When it’s your turn to enter the lounge, you will be notified via text and within the app. You will have 15 minutes to arrive and can notify via the app if you’re on the way, running late, have arrived or are no longer coming.
All travelers, regardless of cardholder status, may still join the waitlist in person at any Capital One Lounge reception desk and will be notified via text when it’s their turn to enter the Lounge.
Capital One Lounges can be found across the United States, including the newly opened Capital One Lounge in Denver International Airport. Other locations include Dulles International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
