Most business travelers — 70 percent — enjoy business trips more than everyday office work, according to the Business Travel and Technology Global Survey from Egencia, the business travel arm of Expedia.
The survey asked the opinions of 4,500 business travelers in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The findings show traveling for work is desirable and business travelers’ desires are changing, especially when it comes to technology. Sixty-six percent of respondents said they would like to book or manage their travel across all devices, not just on their smartphones.
“We are at a turning point in business travel where standalone products are just not enough,” said Rob Greyber, president, Egencia. “Expectations of global business travelers are higher than ever before: They want instant access to information and management tools on every device, while operating autonomously.”
