As airlines around the country begin to roll out additional fares, airlines overseas follow suit. The latest international airline launching a new fare tier is British Airways after introducing basic fares for 10 international routes.

Basic-fare passengers enjoy cheaper tickets, but with limited inclusions and luxuries. Travelers won’t be able to check bags for free or select their own seats, instead BA will offer these services à la carte, as dozens of other airlines have done in an effort to increase revenue.

To check a bag for a round-trip flight, passengers have to pay an extra £80 (approximately $107) and an extra fee of £20 ($27) to select their own seat for a one-way flight.

Despite the checked-bag fees, passengers will still be able to bring a carry-on bag and one personal item on board — in-flight meal service will be included.

Round-trip fares for this class of seats will be approximately $80 less than standard seats and will be available on flights from London airports to Austin (AUS), Boston (BOS), Delhi (DEL), Denver (DEN), Dubai (DXB), Hong Kong (HKG), Oakland (OAK), Philadelphia (PHL), Punta Cana (PUJ) and Singapore (SIN).
