Brightline, the train line connecting travelers between South and Central Florida, recently announced plans to open its next intercity passenger rail station. The train company selected Martin County and the City of Stuart along Florida’s Treasure Coast.

“We’ve seen significant demand and support for a Brightline Station in the Treasure Coast which was evident during this process. It was a difficult decision and we’re grateful for everyone’s support and efforts to make this happen,” said Brian Kronberg, senior vice president of development and construction, Brightline. “We couldn’t be more excited to make the City of Stuart our hub for Brightline along Florida’s Treasure Coast.”

The proposed Brightline Stuart station sits on 2.35 acres in the center of the historic downtown Stuart in Martin County. The station sits conveniently between the train line’s Miami and Orlando stations and about 40 miles north of Brightline West Palm Beach. The station will be easily accessible from 1-95, Florida’s turnpike and the local roadway network.

Brightline Stuart guests will be within walking distance of downtown Stuart, the city’s beaches, oceanfront resorts and other attractions. Brightline also recently announced Wine Wednesdays happy hour, which offers savings on themed cocktails throughout March.
