As Canada’s leading travel expert, Jennifer Weatherhead appeared on more than 250 television and radio spots just last year. Her platform includes tips, hacks, dream destinations and other info from her many years of travel.
Weatherhead started writing about fashion for ELLE Canada before the lure of travel redirected her career. Soon she moved full-time into the travel industry. Along the way, she became a travel expert.
Being a travel expert requires a lot of travel and research. Weatherhead embraces all aspects, balancing work with fun. While she admits sometimes work creeps into her mind during trips for fun, she also mentions having fun on work trips. It is that type of passion that makes Weatherhead a go-to expert for many media outlets.
I relied on her expertise to share her thoughts on current travel trends. As expected, Weatherhead delivered, explaining a few.
As for what’s next for Weatherhead, it’s The Next Destination, her newly launched video series. Weatherhead highlights lesser-known destinations, hidden gems in classic cities and more while showcasing local businesses and unique attractions. She digs in deep to connect the viewer to the destination. Detroit, Michigan; Park City, Utah; and Hamburg, Germany, are just a few locations already featured. Weatherhead promises a lot more fun to come, and I totally believe her.
Before finishing, Weatherhead spoke about her love of her hometown, Toronto. Sidewalk cafés and nice folks are just two of her main reasons. From my few previous trips to Toronto, I agree with her on all points. It is one of my favorite cities.
