I always find myself the most booked and busy during the weekends of the summer; which is ironic because it is supposed to be a season of relaxing on a beach chair, right?! I didn’t specifically mind this particular weekend, however, because I was booked tight for three different but equally wonderful events.

Grandpa’s Birthday
Eighty-two years of my amazing grandpa was the first milestone to be celebrated on Saturday afternoon, where my family met at TopGolf of King of Prussia. My grandpa grew up golfing and continued that into his sunset years, even getting a hole in one at one point in his game. He still keeps that lucky ball on display at the house. At 82 years old, golfing looks a lot different for him. He mostly enjoys riding on the cart while people play, and hitting putts or chips here and there. All of that being said, he still loves the game, so TopGolf was the perfect celebration. Our family of 12 required two bays for play. We ordered drinks and food and played about two rounds of the game. My family went on to a dinner celebration afterwards, but I was on the move to my next event.

Ryan and Marisa’s Engagement
After TopGolf, I made my way back into Philly to meet my friends at a restaurant to celebrate Ryan and Marissa’s engagement. Ryan and Marissa are our two friends who will be planning a wedding after Ryan popped the question the weekend prior at Marissa’s family’s lake house. We toasted to the soon-to-be newlyweds and danced the rest of the night at Drinkers Pub in Philly.

Beau’s Baptism
The third and final celebration was for our friends’ 4-month-old’s baptism. Beau was celebrated with a backyard picnic complete with family and friends in Wilmington, Delaware. It was the sweetest, most wholesome way to end the weekend.

Although each event this weekend made my heart truly happy, I am so looking forward to seeing my dad in Cape May, New Jersey, this coming weekend and finally relaxing in that beach chair I was talking about.
