The first luxury sleeper train officially debuts in England and Wales next July thanks to the new Britannic Explorer, A Belmond Train. This pioneering train seamlessly blends timeless rail heritage with contemporary British cuisine, culture and style. Guests will enjoy fine-dining experiences designed by Chef Simon Rogan and an on-board wellness suite offering therapies to relax and revive.

The new train will depart from London and offer three-night journeys with a choice of three routes through the natural landscapes of Cornwall, The Lake District and Wales. By day, optional off-train guided excursions are available, each showcasing the different regions’ beauty and history. For example, passengers can have a private tour and dinner at Hauser & Wirth Somerset and on-site restaurant Da Costa, take a guided hike through Wales, go wild swimming in The Lake District, or visit Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Cornwall.

Passengers can even combine two regional journeys into one trip: The Cornwall and Lake District routes run Friday–Monday, while the Wales route runs Monday–Thursday.
Come night, passengers can return to the train to unwind in botanically inspired The Bar, located in the Observation Car. Inspired by Victorian apothecaries, The Bar serves botanically inspired cocktails alongside a curated selection of artisan gins and craft beers.
Each of the three routes serves bespoke afternoon tea, lunch and dinner menus highlighting the finest local specialties.
Accommodations based on a double cabin on a three-night trip includes excursions, meals, and wine and alcoholic beverages on board.

Wooden sawtooth facades surround Jackson’s Town Square (a.k.a. George Washington Memorial Park). Visitors stroll the boardwalk connecting the Western-style buildings, each with a large window displaying goods, restaurants and art galleries. Iconic arches, assembled with discarded elk antlers from nearby National Elk Refuge, perch on each corner of the town square. Stagecoaches pulled by teams of horses parade other city-dwellers around the park.
