Welcome to the Avianca experience
Latin America’s leading airlines integrated in Avianca Holdings S.A. (formerly known as AviancaTaca Holding S.A.) have successfully consolidated under a single commercial brand and are currently implementing all new visual standards across the organization.
The new identity honors the successful business legacy reached by Avianca and TACA Airlines, with 94 and 82 years of uninterrupted operations, respectively, and also alludes to their route network heritage. They share the common thread of envisioning a well-connected continent through the skies of the Americas.
The image of the “new Avianca” is gradually being displayed in more than 160 airplanes, 14,000 seats on board, 214 ticket offices, 100 airports, VIP lounges in 25 countries, as well as the corporate buildings in the Americas and Europe.
This new brand image is a visual cue of a key turning point in the airline´s history and its flight experience redesign. The airline continues on its path to provide a strong product and service offer aimed at becoming the ideal partner for business and leisure travelers in the region.
A new flight experience
The travel product on Avianca — served with a modern fleet of 151 new-generation aircraft — has been completely redesigned to provide a superior flight experience.
The new brand and experience center on providing service excellence delivered with the Latin American warmth and character. A modern and eco-friendly fleet, leather seats, individual onboard entertainment, complimentary food and beverage service, mood lighting and easy-to-use mobile apps are all part of a carefully mapped flight experience design.
U.S. and Toronto access
Latin America is an exciting region that combines vibrant cultures, rich histories and booming economies, a place where rich tradition meets innovation in everyday life. Passengers departing from the United States have access to easy travel toward Latin America through Avianca from 11 U.S. cities — Miami; Fort Lauderdale; New York; Newark; Orlando; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Los Angeles; Dallas; Houston; and San Francisco — plus Toronto.
Avianca serves direct flights from the United States to Bogotá, Cali, Medellín and Cartagena in Colombia; Lima, Peru; Guatemala City, Guatemala; San Salvador, El Salvador; Managua, Nicaragua; and San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Through its hubs in Bogotá, San Salvador and Lima, passengers can reach the entire Avianca network.
Avianca’s route network includes flights to Barcelona and Madrid, and starting July 4, will be serving London at Heathrow Airport.
Modern VIP Lounges
Last year, Avianca opened its new 21,000-square-foot VIP Lounge located in the international terminal of Eldorado Airport in Bogotá to serve its LifeMiles Silver, Gold and Diamond Elite members; Star Alliance Gold members; and Priority Pass and Business Class travelers. This year the airline opened a new VIP Lounge at José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro, to serve the city of Medellín. Moving forward with its service improvement plan, the airline is also refreshing the VIP lounges in Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, San Salvador and Santiago.
A new Business Class
The new Business Class cabin in Avianca has been upgraded to increase comfort and enhanced service, providing an improved travel experience on the Airbus A318, A319, A320, A330 and Embraer E190 fleet. The cabin was designed to reflect the new brand image, which includes leather seats, carpeting and seat track covers. The addition of a soft divider and pitch of 40 inches between seats provides travelers with added comfort and a better overall travel experience. Current aircraft operating in the fleet have been retrofitted, and arriving aircraft are being delivered with this experience.
LifeMiles
The unified loyalty program was the result of integrating best practices of both airlines and improving them, based on studies of the leading loyalty programs from top airlines around the world and customer feedback. LifeMiles has more than 5 million members and has been recognized twice, consecutively, by travelers through the Freddie Award in the category of Best Redemption Ability. During the 2014 edition, LifeMiles became the only loyalty program in Latin America to receive a Freddie Award.
Star Alliance
On June 21, 2012, Avianca joined Star Alliance, the first truly global airline alliance to offer worldwide reach, recognition and seamless service to the international traveler. As a result, travel advantages and options for our passengers multiplied, gaining access to 1,269 cities, more than 1,000 VIP lounges and additional benefits on their frequent-flyer program.
