Austrian Airlines will start flying between Vienna and Boston, March 29, 2020. The route will operate four times weekly and increase to six times weekly by mid-April, Tuesday through Sunday.
The flight will last nine hours, flown with a 211-seat Boeing 767. The flight from Vienna (VIE) to Boston (BOS), OS91, will leave at 1:25 p.m. and land at 4:30 p.m., while OS92 on the return will leave at 6:15 p.m. and land at 8:25 a.m. the next day.
Meanwhile, Boston Logan projects it will be one of the 10 busiest airports in the United States by 2022. The airport recently added a 75,000 square feet to Terminal B.
Austrian also announced it will use a Boeing 777 on all of its Vienna–Chicago flights, starting March 2020. That move will replace its Boeing 767 and increase route capacity.
