The popular travel destination Unclaimed Baggage, a store in Alabama specializing in lost suitcases and their contents attracting 1 million shoppers annually, is taking to the open road in 2020. The brand is headed to all 50 states to celebrate 50 years in business, bringing shoppers in major cities games, fun and charitable events, along with news of the store’s new e-commerce platform, launching next month.

When luggage is lost in transit and is unable to be returned to its owner, the airline compensates the traveler and conducts a 90-day baggage tracing process. Only 0.0003 percent of passenger bags checked every year are truly lost, but that unclaimed luggage finds a new life and new owners at Unclaimed Baggage, where interesting contents up for sale have included everything from a suit of armor to a 40-carat emerald.
