Air Canada removes its code on some United Airlines flights to the United States. The changes took effect Dec. 10, impacting flights to most of United’s major hubs including Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH) and Newark (EWR).
As a result, passengers booked on Air Canada flights must be reaccommodated on the same flight under the corresponding UA operating flight number. This goes into effect for the following routes:
Air Canada also said the following:
– Air Canada customers should be rebooked onto the United Airlines operating flight number using the original ticketed booking class (RBD).
– If the original booking class is not available, book the lowest available booking class (RBD) within the same cabin/compartment.
– Please ensure the correct ticketing procedures are followed, including adding the ticket endorsement REISSUE DUE SKCH.
More details are available on the Agent Reference tab of the Air Canada agent website.
