With summer approaching, tour operator Tourist Journey encourages travelers to consider some of its new and exciting journeys around the world. In addition to a tour in Bali, recently reopened to tourists, Tourist Journey also features tours in Italy, Israel, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Two-Day Southern Bali and Sunrise Hike at Mount Batur
The first day begins at Uluwatu Temple, one of Bali’s most sacred sites; travelers will enjoy views of the Indian Ocean from 75 meters up. The tour continues to Jimbaran Bay for a seafood dinner under the stars before ending in Kintamani. Guests will spend the night in Kintamani with dinner included before starting the second day at 3 a.m. for a two-hour trek up Mount Batur to see the sunrise. At the top, 1,717 meters above sea level, guests will witness the neighboring Mount Abang and Mount Agung and enjoy a breakfast with the sunrise before descending the mountain.
11-Day Israel, Dubai and Abu Dhabi Experience
Day one of the tour starts with a trip to the north of Israel for a visit to Nazareth, the Mount of Beatitudes and Yardenit before returning to Tel Aviv in the evening. The next day allows guests to explore Tel Aviv, followed by a day visiting the ancient port city of Caesarea and the mixed cities of Haifa and Akko for a view of the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Bahai Gardens and the Fortress in Akko.
On days five and six, guests will visit Masada, the Dead Sea and Ein Gedi, a desert oasis known for its hiking and hidden water holes. The sixth day consists of a trip to Jerusalem. On day seven, guests will fly to Dubai and spend the next day touring Al Bastakiya, taking an abra ride across the saltwater Dubai Creek, touring Dubai Marina and visiting the artificial archipelago of Palm Jumeirah.
The next day allows for another free day for guests to explore the city before flying to Abu Dhabi. There, guests start with the marvelous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque before continuing for a visit to Emirates Palace Hotel, Al Bateen and a walk through Abu Dhabi Corniche. The final days ends with a guided tour of the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
13-Day Italy Food and Wine Journey
Food and wine lovers will experience Italy’s finest dishes and wines in four of Italy’s most food-obsessed cities: Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan. With a guided expert leading the way, guests begin the tour by learning about the history of Rome through its churches, squares, monuments and food. Guests then experience Rome’s premium neighboring wine region, Frascati, before taking a food safari into Chianti from Florence, stopping at wineries and trattorias along the way.
In addition to exploring a Tuscan market and making stunning foodie masterpieces from the ingredients picked up in the market, guests will also embark on a local bar crawl in the backstreets of Venice, as well as learn how to make delicious local dishes with a Venetian chef. The tour ends with a visit to Prosecco country where guests will tour and some of the best sparkling wine producers in Italy.
