The historic Gaige House + Ryokan in Sonoma Valley has a brand new look, with a serene Japanese Ryokan aesthetic reflecting the property’s emphasis on wellness.
Among the 23 guestrooms, the nine Ryokan Zen Suites feature authentic Japanese elements and amenities including yukata kimonos, keta and zōri slippers, meditative music and tasty Japanese delicacies such as green tea, saké and ice cream mochi.

In-room comforts include king beds, fireplaces, outdoor patios and granite soaking tubs with hinoki wood bathing accessories. Suites allow guests to soak in the landscape outside, or in private karesansui Zen rock gardens.
Guests are greeted in the main house with jasmine green tea and homemade matcha cookies. Magic Hour wine pairings are hosted each evening, and complimentary nightcaps of saké, port or sherry can be enjoyed in the lounge. Gaige House + Ryokan is located on Calabazas Creek in Glen Ellen, eight miles from Sonoma and 21 miles from Napa.
