On a recent trip to Branson, Mo., to attend the North American Travel Journalist Association conference, I was reminded of the importance of seeking peace. On the last day, after several mornings of sessions and other activities — including riding the world’s fastest, tallest, steepest and newest spinning roller coaster — I was pleased to find myself in the center of Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, surrounded by flowing water, blooming foliage, animals and a peaceful calm. After the adrenaline rush of the previous day, it was nice to find a balanced center once again.
