Guests sailing on board Princess Cruises’ Sun Princess can look forward to a brand-new specialty dining experience with the opening of Love by Britto. The restaurant’s concept is a sensory collaboration between Princess Cruises Head of Culinary Arts Rudi Sodamin and Brazilian-born artist Romero Britto, founder, Happy Art Movement.
Located aft on deck 17 against a backdrop of Britto’s colorful, exuberant works, guests are treated to a seven-course, fixed-priced menu that begins with dishes such as oysters with lemongrass Kafir, mirin and gold flakes. This course is followed by selections that include cappuccino of wild mushroom soup; salad of beets, figs and goat cheese; granita of pink Champagne and rose petals; tail of lobster Thermidor; and succulent beef tenderloin and truffle jus. The menu’s show-stopping dessert is a heart-shaped chocolate lava cake served with fresh berries and raspberry cream, accompanied by petits fours.

Bright, cheerful dinnerware features Britto’s art, and specialty cocktails include new love-themed libations such as Strawberry Love Potion, Expresso My Love and Britto Coupe.
This latest dining option builds on an already stellar onboard lineup that includes Chef Makoto Okuwa’s Makota Ocean, where menus celebrate sushi and the best of Japan’s culinary traditions; The Butcher’s Block by Dario, a pop-up eatery from world-renowned butcher Dario Cecchini offering signature cuts of beef and steak; Spellbound by Magic Castle, where the lines between traditional magic and kitchen magic are beautifully blurred; and The Catch by Rudi, Chef Sodamin’s other onboard restaurant, with a showcase of foods from the sea. For curated cocktails reflecting destinations, guests can relax at Good Spirits at Sea with Rob Floyd.
