Beginning Feb. 1, avianca Airlines renewed its offer to commercialize four fares for flights both in the Americas and Europe to provide customers with a simpler, more flexible experience.
To fly within the Americas on wide-body aircraft, except Brazil, the airline offers three fares available in economy class: basic, classic and flex; and one in business class: business.
So, what’s the difference between each fare?

Basic
For those who choose to fly light, basic includes a personal item and check-in on the website or app.
Classic
For those who want to fly with more benefits, this fare includes one personal item, one carry-on bag of 10 kilograms (about 22 pounds); one checked bag of 23 kilograms (about 51 pounds); check-in at the counter, website or app; economy seat selection; and LifeMiles mileage accrual.
Flex
Offering more possibilities, flex includes personal items, one carry-on bag of 10 kilograms; one checked bag of 23 kilograms; check-in at the counter, website or app; selection of plus, emergency exit or economy seats; changes and refunds before the flight; and LifeMiles accrual.
Business
This one has it all, including a carry-on bag of 10 kilograms; two checked bags of 32 kilograms (about 70.5 pounds); changes and refunds before the flight; check-in at the counter, website or app; service at the counter and priority baggage delivery; business-class seat; access to avianca lounges; priority boarding; and LifeMiles accrual.
To fly to and from Europe originating in Brazil, avianca Airlines also offers three sizes in economy (light, classic and flex) and business in business class. Light consists of the basics, with one personal item, one carry-on bag of 10 kilograms and website or app check-in. The classic, flex and business fares for European flights maintain the same features as offered for flights within the Americas.
On top of these new fares, avianca Airlines also launched its new business-class experience for these destinations with a menu curated by owner of El Chato restaurant in Bogotá. The business-class experience also includes a new amenity kit with products from Loto del Sur and collectible Mola Sasa cases designed in collaboration with women from the Gunadule indigenous community.

May 21, 2025Hotel Nice Beau Rivage Review
In the city Henri Matisse once called home — and where Musée Matisse holds his largest collection — Hotel Beau Rivage has a special connection with the artist, who first visited the hotel in 1916 and painted famous sea views from his room 89 in 1917. Today, framed Matisse prints — many brightly colored cut-out collages from the artist’s JAZZ collection — decorate its walls. Hotel guests also benefit from a partnership with the museum.
