Whether you have an upcoming trip to London or an escape to Panama’s Caribbean coast, these four luxury properties debut new spas and wellness centers this season, setting a new standard in health and wellness.

On March 1, this upscale Moroccan resort announced the next phase of its opening with the debut of Morocco’s First Medi Spa, a wellness retreat spanning a whopping 46,000 square feet. This massive facility boasts nine treatment rooms and five state-of-the-art medical cabins (with one dedicated to balneotherapy). Guests can also expect multiple thermal experiences from hammams to saunas to steam rooms to a Himalayan salt cave. This spa blends cutting-edge medical treatments with ancient healing traditions, specifically focusing on the hammam experience. One signature treatment uses natural Atlas clay. Multiday, personalized wellness journeys are also available here, centering around topics like physical fitness, nutrition, sleep, emotional wellbeing and metabolic balance.

Yes, you heard that right. A treehouse spa opens at Nayara Bocas del Toro off of Panama’s Caribbean Coast this May. This treehouse spa, designed by Elora Hardy, is made from locally sourced bamboo and partially petrified timber swept from the bottom of the Panama Canal. Treatments at this unique and nature-centric spa include all-natural Biosfera products — all handmade in Costa Rica and showcasing the country’s bounty of herbs, tropical fruits, botanicals and more.

New Nordic-Style Spa in London
London’s elegant neighborhood of Fitzrovia not only welcomes its newest hotel, The Newman, but also sees the debut of a Nordic-style spa, giving guests an escape from the busy city. This new wellness spa boasts amenities like hot-and-cold therapy cabins, an active salt therapy room and a hydrotherapy pool. As if you need more convincing, the hotel’s yoga studio will feature a salt wall, which supports respiratory health. Medical-grade LED treatments and Hyperice recovery tools are also included in spa treatments.

Part of the Ionian Islands located off the western coast of Greece and Albania, it boasts a storied history dating back nearly 3,000 years and a heritage shaped by many foreign rulers who made it their own.

May 14, 2025Hotel Van Zandt Review
One step onto Austin’s Rainey Street and you’ll feel like you’ve joined the cool kids at the best playground in the city. Just behind the cottage bars, pint-sized skyscrapers soar. One of them, Hotel Van Zandt, the Rainey district's pièce de resistance, beckons with a song-like spirit —apropos because the independently owned property, rife with music motifs, was named after beloved singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt. Sixteen stories high, the hotel embodies Austin’s lust for music, manifesting with a vinyl corner; trumpet chandeliers; myriad musical references; replica vintage posters in frames; and its own live music venue, which doubles as its acclaimed restaurant, Geraldine’s. Don’t miss the mesmerizing installation of colorful origami-like birds composed from vinyl records that flitter from an old phonograph.
