Russia’s first 5-star hotel, Belmond Grand Hotel Europe, recently unveiled six magnificent suites including the largest presidential suite in St Petersburg and five Avant-Garde Suites inspired by 20th-century Russian artists. Created from 19 first-floor rooms, in response to a growing demand for suite-style accommodation, the new suites offer space and luxury with 24-hour butler service.

Celebrating its 140^th anniversary in 2015, Belmond Grand Hotel Europe is a St Petersburg landmark, centrally positioned on Nevsky Prospekt. Fashioned by Tihany Design, the contemporary suites complement the historic hotel’s Neo-Baroque décor.

The 3,770-square-foot presidential suite features a grand lobby crowed by a domed gold-leaf ceiling and offers views of Nevsky Prospekt and Mikhailovskaya Ulitsa. Two bedrooms — each with a king-sized bed — two marble bathrooms, a hammam sauna, a private fitness area with a treadmill and a cycling machine, a game room and a library — complete with a secret bookcase passage to the master bedroom —round out the exclusive accommodations.

Paying homage to Russian art of the 1900s, the five Avant-Garde Suites are named after famous artists from the era. Opulently decorated with high ceilings, each space is individually designed to reflect its namesake artist and features specially commissioned artwork that is reminiscent of their work.
