JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts announces Spa by JW, a reimagining of the spa experience. The new concept focuses on luxurious-yet-purposeful treatments created to address four core states: Calm, Indulge, Invigorate and Renew. The first Spa by JW debuts in September at the new JW Marriott Houston Downtown, followed by the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar in December, with more than 20 Spas by JW in the pipeline.
“Our guests are incredibly passionate about wellbeing, but they don’t always have the time to invest in cultivating it,” said Mitzi Gaskins, vice president and global brand manager, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts. “They are looking for an experience that delivers true impact and results that are tailored to their state of mind. Spa by JW offers an environment where you can chose exactly what you want, when you want, without any of the intimidation or hassle.”
Upon entering the spa, guests sign in at a curator’s desk to explore options, from full-service to express spa treatments.
- Calm promotes a “reset” with a moment of serenity; a chance to slow and restore balance. Sample services include a 15-minute tense shoulders massage or a one-hour Sleep Deeply treatment.
- Indulge provides nourishment for the soul and encourages guests to pamper themselves through a range of therapeutic treatments that reward and rejuvenate. Sample services include Ultimate Aromatherapy massage or Intense Nourishment luxurious body treatment.
- Invigorate enlivens the body and clarifies the mind, wiping away the stress of daily life while boosting energy and vitality. Sample services include Jet Lag Cure or Energy Boost express massage.
- Renew purifies the mind and body so guests feel more centered, focused and instilled with a sense of spiritual rebirth. Sample services include an Intense Muscle Relief or Detox & Revitalize body treatment.
Designed for guests who do not have the luxury of time, Spa by JW express treatments provide on-demand 12– to 25–minute services that are available without an appointment. For guests with a little more time on their hands, full-service treatments range from 60 to 90 minutes.

Apr 17, 2024Amansara Review
It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
