New to Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the 587-room Julius Tower is an updated recreation of the property’s original Roman Tower. Other changes include contemporary décor in The Laurel Collection rooms located in the Augustus Tower, and the addition of the Montecristo Cigar Bar, where you can experience a menu of cigar and spirit pairings including Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum and La Flor Ligero Cabinet 500; Jefferson’s Oceans Bourbon and Henry Clay Brevas; and Avion 44 Tequila and Padron 1964 Torpedo Maduro. Guests can book a treatment at the award-wining Qua Baths & Spa, enjoy top international DJs at the OMNIA Nightclub and take in performances by world-class entertainers, comedians and bands at The Colosseum. New dining includes MR CHOW, accessed via a set of private elevators. The restaurant, featuring a suspended kinetic sculpture, overlooks the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis.

If you prefer more intimately scaled accommodations, The Cromwell — the only standalone boutique hotel on the Las Vegas Strip — has a more manageable 188 rooms and suites, and a newly introduced causal dining space called eatwell, open 24/7. Updated offerings include complimentary daily live music at the refurbished Interlude bar and lounge and GIADA, the new restaurant by celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. Elsewhere in the hotel, there’s a new high-limit slot space in The Abbey, along with a personalized virtual concierge service called Ivy. Rooms now feature eKey keyless entry technology and, prior to Sept. 1, the hotel plans to add a new Sportsbook service. Both hotels were recently awarded with spots on USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice list for Best US Casino (Caesars Palace was second place, while The Cromwell came in eighth).
