It’s chef’s table, but you’ll wear an apron. Terra restaurant at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe invites up to 10 guests to enjoy a fabulous, multi-course tasting menu and to help prepare it. Executive Chef Andrew Cooper runs the show, pairing each guest with a member of the kitchen team. During the hands-on cooking lesson, Cooper shares preparation tips and allows guests to learn what goes into running a resort kitchen by presenting them with the opportunity to call out orders and help expedite tickets.

The recent $50,000 chef’s table renovation includes new tiling, a custom-built granite slab table, pendant lighting and LCD monitor that rolls out the story of the restaurant. The four-hour, interactive Chef’s Table experience is $150 per person for an eight- to 12-course tasting menu. Wine pairings are available at an additional cost. Between two and 10 participants can take part, with a minimum 24-hour advance booking. The resort’s cooking program also includes chef-led culinary adventure tours to local farms, and shopping with the chef at the Santa Fe Farmers Market.
