A new app from CycleCast lets you turn that hotel gym stationary bike into a private spin class whenever it’s convenient for you to put in some pedal time. Sessions are led by professional instructors including spinning master instructors Isabel Schaefer, Kevin Mondrick of BFX Studio and Jess Walsh of New York Sports Club/Crank. Workouts come in increments of 20, 45 and 60 minutes, and can be downloaded via the Apple App Store. It’s compatible with iPhone models 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 Plus and iPod touch with iOS 8 and up.
If walking is your fitness go-to and you love to explore new cities by foot (but can never be sure which direction is north or south), a new hands-free walking app from Walc figures things out for you, with easy voice directions that get you from point A to B without unplanned, time-consuming detours. Directions are given based on what you actually see in front of you — such as “turn right” at a restaurant or coffee shop that’s referred to by name. The new Pocket Mode feature lets walkers simply listen to directions while carrying bags or keeping their hands snugly in their pockets. The app is downloadable via Google or the Apple App Store, and is compatible with popular music apps including iPlay and Spotify.

Apr 24, 2024Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh Review
Phnom Penh as we imagined it stretches beneath us: a picturesque, low-rise mix of Southeast Asian and French Colonial styles. When the inhabitants of those buildings look back at us here in the Fairfield by Marriott hotel in Chip Mong Tower, they see the future.

Apr 17, 2024Amansara Review
It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
