Grand new lodging has come to the private island of Félicité in Seychelles. Six Senses Zil Pasyon is tropical villa living at its best: Each of the 28 one- and two-bedroom pool villas focuses on the surrounding natural world, with a splashy new spa resting on a rocky cliff side above the sea set to be unrobed in early 2017. Great care has been taken to gently merge the infinity pool, yoga spaces and villas into the natural landscape, including positioning the Six Senses Spa at Zil Pasyon among seaside rock formations. Activities include an outdoor cinema under the stars, a well-stocked library, cooking classes, water sports, an Experience Center, three white-sand beaches, the Trouloulou villa for children and boating excursions to nearby islands.

Driven by the creative powers of Chef Richard Lee and flavors inspired by the ancient Spice Route, menus at each of the resort’s restaurants are sensory experiences. Along with an interactive Chef’s Kitchen, choices include the meat-free Ocean Kitchen with fresh fish and organic dishes, informal Koko Bar, private dining in the Wine Vault, the Island Café and Lakanbiz, where a broad selection of aged and flavored rums invoke an authentic pirate’s hideaway ambience. Private dining can also be booked at numerous locations around the island. Rates begin at $1,339 per night and include breakfast, taxes and service charges. The property is located 30 nautical miles northeast of Seychelles International Airport on the main island of Mahé, or a 20-minute flight via helicopter.
