With one of the more highly acclaimed and profitable business classes in the air travel business, United Airlines is pushing its rebranded class of seats, Polaris, in an effort to stay competitive.
Within the next few years, the airline plans to add to its growing fleet by adding more planes outfitted with Polaris. Purchasing a ticket in the Polaris class offers travelers access to the exclusive Polaris airport lounges and, once onboard, travelers are treated with luxury amenity kits with Cowshed products, bedding provided by Saks Fifth Avenue, ample seat storage and a full in-flight menu.
The already successful Polaris class benefits United’s stock, and the airline foresees the expansion of this class as a catalyst to help pass competitors in terms of business-class offerings.
United’s hub locations provide an even greater likelihood for continued growth, with hubs in major markets such as San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX), Newark (EWR), Chicago (ORD) and Houston (IAH).
