United Airlines expanded its network of United Club lounges with its addition at Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Three more lounges will open later this year.
The Fort Lauderdale addition covers 5,000 square feet near gate C1 and offers amenities like free high-speed WiFi and locally inspired food and drink selections.
United is preparing to open United Clubs in the new terminal at Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, Raleigh-Durham International Airport and lounges in New York’s LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B, where the airline recently relocated.
United operates more than 50 United Club lounges worldwide. Lounge access is available for United premium-class passengers on international or transcontinental flights, Star Alliance Gold members, United Club members, active-duty U.S. military members in uniform and premium-level Amtrak and Air Canada travelers.
“United Clubs are the perfect spot for our customers to relax and recharge and we are excited to open the first of four new United Clubs this year,” said Toby Enqvist, chief customer officer, United. “Our multimillion-dollar investment in the United Clubs is one of many ways we are working to improve every aspect of our customers’ experience.”
