Arrival/Check-In: I checked into The St. Regis Atlanta in the late afternoon after a long day of travel. As I drove up to the front valet area, the attendant immediately greeted me, assisted with my luggage, handed me a ticket for my car and directed me to the lobby and front desk. During the quick check-in, the front desk attendant offered a variety of information about the property’s services and facilities.

Guest Quarters: Upon entering my grand deluxe room, I immediately noticed the elegance and luxury of the décor. The plush down comforter and plump, large pillows on the king-sized bed made for a comfortable night of sleep. The room also included a desk area which contained two cushioned chairs and a large wooden desk with ideal lighting and space. Outlets were visible and accessible in both the desk area and bedside. I admired the French doors which opened to a balcony overlooking the property’s courtyard and pool as well as a wonderful view of the city skyline. The marble-lined bathroom included a vanity with two sinks and mirrors. Behind the glass, the mirror featured a television, which I found unique. The bathroom also offered a deep, luxurious tub and a separate shower with a rainfall showerhead.

Services/Amenities: I arrived in the early evening at the well-known St. Regis Bar. All the tables and lounging areas were occupied, so I took a seat at the bar. It provided a rich, cozy atmosphere perfect for an intimate dinner or cocktail. I enjoyed a light dinner and glass of wine recommended by the bartender. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive.

The weather was a bit too cold to enjoy the pool, but during the summer months guests can experience poolside butler service. Private cabanas line the pool area, anchored by a large waterfall. During the winter months, the pool area turns into an ice-skating rink. The hotel also offers more traditional amenities including a fitness center and spa.

The Experience: I’d describe The St. Regis Atlanta as the epitome of luxury. I was impressed by the intricate detail and elegance of the property. Traveling for business, I looked forward to returning to my room at the end of the day and appreciated the comfortable and calm atmosphere of the room and the property overall.
