The Tourism Authority of Thailand wants travellers and residents to share their favourite things about the country. International bloggers, photographers and social media-users of all skill levels are eligible to enter the contest and win an all-expenses-paid trip to Thailand. Even those who have not yet travelled to Thailand can enter, by writing what they hope to see when they eventually do visit. Entrants are required to maintain a regularly updated social media platform, with a substantial number of followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus or a personal blog. Entrants must also follow the Tourism Authority of Thailand newsroom on all social media channels. “There are many hundreds of bloggers and photographers out there who record their stories of Thailand online,” said Yuthasak Supasorn, governor, Tourism Authority of Thailand. “We want to harness this creative energy to promote the wonders of Thailand and give these talented people the chance to win a trip back to the kingdom to explore further. We are looking forward to seeing what amazing stories and photos the blogging community comes up with when the campaign opens.” The entry form allows for five written pieces and images. The contest will only be open for the month of June, during which time individuals will be able to vote for the winner. The top three bloggers and the top three photographers with the highest number of votes will each receive a completely free trip to Thailand.
