Going on vacation should mean abandoning all schedules and coming and going as you please. Standard Hotels understands this desire of travelers, and thus has implemented a new program called Standard Time. As part of the program, guests will be able to select their check-in and check-out times for a small additional fee. Rather than adhering to a hotel’s sometimes-strict arrival and departure schedules, snoozers will be allowed to hit the snooze button a few extra times and depart a bit later, if agreed upon with the hotel first. The luxury hotel with locations in New York, Miami and Los Angeles will offer this service for select rooms only. The fee for a flexible check-in or check-out time will be 5 percent of the room rate, per night. Say goodbye to the hours spent waiting in long lines with every other guest in the hotel to check in and sort out room arrangements. With a bit of advanced planning and willingness to fork over a small fee, Standard guests will feel a bit more flexible.
